Walton-on-Thames Central Travelodge is managed by Pemba Sherpa, who joined Travelodge in 2014 as Assistant Hotel Manager after a career as security officer for a security firm.

Pemba Sherpa, Hotel Manager, Walton-on-Thames Central Travelodge said: “We are delighted to open a second hotel in Walton-on-Thames and become the town’s biggest budget hotel chain. With year on year growth in visitor numbers coming to our historic town, there has been a real shortage of good quality and great value accommodation. Our new hotel will now help fill this gap which is great news for the local economy as research shows that our customers will spend on average double their room rate with local businesses during their stay, which can equate to an annual multi-million pound boost for the local economy.”

“I am delighted to have built a great team, the majority of my team members are parents, as Travelodge is dedicated to supporting working parents, by offering flexible working hours around the school run; so that they can work, climb the career ladder and raise their family. I am looking forward to developing my team so that they can become our hotel managers of the future. In the meantime, we are getting geared up for a busy February half term break and the Easter holidays.”
